Spoiler Alert!

I, like everyone else, have my own take on spoilers. I tend to link my proclivity towards spoilers to a deep-seated desire for instant gratification. At least, that's the result of my self-diagnosis. I enjoy spoilers -- random fact number 14:

I love spoilers for movies or t.v. shows. Especially for movies that I'm kind of interested in seeing but not really. For example, scary movies. I enjoy reading which characters die and without even seeing the movie, I'll feel sad simply because I like the actor or actress.

I enjoy spoilers for various reasons. The most popular being that I love watching a story unfold. But I'm quite picky with the ones I read. If it's a movie with an expected grandiose, mind-bending twist, then I'll hold off. For example, I'll avoid spoilers for a movie like Shutter Island. But if it's a movie that I'm on the fence about and more than likely, I won't get the opportunity to check out while in theaters -- a quick 5 - 8 minute read  makes so much more sense to me than wasting $10 and an hour and half of my time. Now, this rule may be broken under special circumstances. For instance, I unfortunately read.. well, rather devoured as much information as I possibly could during the weeks leading up to the debut of the Dark Knight simply because I was so hyped for that movie. I still enjoyed the heck out of that movie regardless so there wasn't really a huge loss there.

I have two resources for movie and TV spoilers:

The Movie Spoiler is a great site especially for spoiling the current top 20 box office hits. Their archives go farther back and include spoilers for a good majority of well known titles. Every now and then, they'll receive a spoiler for an upcoming movie that has yet to be released in theaters which is pretty handy for interested parties.

Spoiler Fix is a decent collection of spoiler for current popular television shows. If you're a fan of a particular show, I can guarantee you that a quick Google search will take you to a dedicated wiki which may have more information but for my general needs -- this site does just fine pulling from sources like Ausiello Files and Watch With Kristin.

If you have any more recommended sites, let me know!
