St. Baldrick's

So I've been chatting with my hairstylist from the Velvet Monkey Too about St. Baldrick's and I'm pretty sure that I'm going to go ahead and do it. Regardless, I've posted a poll at the top of my blog for any visitors to vote and share their thoughts on my participation. I've never used the poll function before so it seemed like a great excuse to do so, haha.

The about blurb on the website reads:
Volunteers shave their heads in solidarity with kids fighting cancer and family and friends give generously - worldwide. The St. Baldrick's Foundation uses the donations to fund more in childhood cancer research grants than any organization except the United States Government.
I've actually been talking about this with my stylist for almost a year now. At first, I asked fairly superficial questions about if I could really pull off a bald look but the more and more I thought about it - it sounded like a cause that I want to support and an event that I really want to participate in. Hearing stories and descriptions about the kids at the event and the overall atmosphere of such a cause really touched my heart.

If you are interested in shaving your head with me, you can sign up for the March 28, 2010 event at VZD's.

As soon as I finalize my registration, I will post links where you can make a donation on my behalf.
