Bucket List
Inspired by the movie The Bucket List, I decided to create my very own. This list will continually be updated as my priorities and desires evolve over time. The activities and events depicted on this list are not in any particular order nor magnitude of importance.
The ones that I've crossed out (obviously) have already happened in the past. They're just some of the memories that I will forever cherish.
Update: So my original list always bothered me. It served its initial purpose but failed to properly give my interests justice. I decided to retool my list and attempt to explain each listing. Hopefully it works out for the better!
Celebrate my sister's 21st birthday with her. My little sister is my best friend and I'd love to celebrate such a life milestone with her.Visit Orlando with my best friends. Growing up in Florida, Orlando was a mere 3 hour drive away quickly becoming one of my favorite vacation spots. I'm a theme park geek and I love sharing my favorite experiences with my friends.Visit SF with my best friends. My SF family rocks. There's no doubt about that. Love my cousins, my aunts and uncles, and the friends I've made out there. Can't wait to show my friends my favorite places to eat, my favorite sights to see, and my favorite people to be around.Make my family proud of me and get accepted to the professional school of my choice. It's silly to make that correlation but I want my parents to know that I'm on the right track and that I have a secure future ahead of me.Tour Google. I'm a tech geek. I love using their services and I've heard wonderful stories about their business and work ethic. I'd love the opportunity to see how they operate.- Find the woman I want to spend the rest of my life with and marry her. It's a bit cheesy. Ok. Scratch that. It's hella cheesy and corny. But it's the truth. I look forward to finding the girl I'm supposed to be with.
- Introduce my significant other to the rest of my family around the world. A huge part of my life is my family. That's fairly evident from most of my posts or pictures. One of my greatest pleasures in life is bringing people together.
- Visit my hometown of Jacksonville with my significant other. I've always imagined taking a road trip back to my hometown and showing where I grew up to someone who cared and wanted to know more about me and where I come from.
Vacation in the Hamptons with my best friends and eat tons of seafood. There's a soft place in my heart for the East coast. I spent a lot of time visiting my amazing family in Amagansett while growing up. Some of my fondest memories of early family get-togethers involve awesome seafood cookouts and visits to the beach.- Get a six-pack. Silly, yes. But moreso for the sake of knowing I can get one.
- Run the San Francisco full marathon. I picked up running not too long ago so completing a marathon in my one of my favorite cities is a no-brainer.
- Build my own proton pack. Since I was a kid, Ghostbusters has been my hands-down, all-time favorite movie. This is one of my goals I want to complete before I start dental school.
- Watch Ghostbusters III. See above.
- Meet Dan Aykroyd, Harold Ramis, Ernie Hudson, and/or Bill Murray. See above.
- Attend a live taping of one of my favorite shows. I'm a tv geek so I think it would be a neat experience to view a live taping of a show - SNL or Conan for example.
- Visit Australia, Hong Kong, Tai Pei, Thailand, and Japan. Love to travel. Love good food.
- Go on a cruise. My family and I have never been on a cruise before. Minimal planning, plenty of food, tons of relaxation. How could I resist?
- Learn how to ballroom dance. I love to dance although I'm horrible at it. Ballroom has always captured my interest as I'm a sucker for the classics.
- Watch a movie at the Alamo Drafthouse theater. As a movie geek, I've heard legendary stories of the movie screenings that have taken place in this theater.
- Tour Pixar. Love Disney, love Pixar. Their animation quality is off the charts and their ability to tell a compassionate story every single time without fail. Would love to see how they operate.
Meet a girl in a different city during my travels and take her out on a romantically awesome date. I've spent so much time in SF seeing the sights, absorbing the culture and tasting the foods that it almost feels as if I can call it my own. It's something I'd like to share.- I want to fly one day on a whim with minimal plans. Traveling is a huge passion of mine. I think it would be super fun and exciting to decide to fly somewhere on a whim and see where I end up. I also want to fly in scrubs. It seems like it would be so darn comfy.
Purchase a series of one-way plane tickets and hop around the country.- ...
