Wow. The outpouring of support and well wishes has been quite frankly overwhelming. I always had a good idea that I was fortunate to be surrounded by such a positive community but I truly had no idea how amazing they could all make me feel. Phone calls, text messages, Facebook posts, likes, and comments, and emails. I feel like I'm on a crazy high.
I've never been one to celebrate my own achievements. It's odd because I love nothing more than to plan celebrations and events for my friends but never for myself. Call it a sense of Chinese humility? That being said, I'm going to go ahead and embrace my Asian American side and dedicate a single post to commemorate this moment. It's something I will always want to cherish and remember exactly how far I've come, how hard I worked to get there, and the brilliant people I met along the way.
